About the tournament
The City of Albany and Mayor Kathy Sheehan is once again proud to host the Symetra Tour, Road To the LPGA at Capital Hills at Albany. The Symetra Tour, formerly the FUTURES Tour, has over 300 women professionals compete in 16+ golf tournaments across the United States. Over 140 players from across the globe come to Albany on June 2nd - June 4th, 2017 to compete for a $100,000 purse.
This is a unique sporting event that has players from 34 countries competing at Capital Hills Golf Course challenging a 6,400 yard layout. Some prominent Symetra Tour alumni that have competed at Capital Hills since 2004 have gone on to great success on the LPGA. They include: Julieta Granada, Cindy LaCrosse, and Solheim Cup members Kristy McPherson and Ryann O'Toole.
This is an excellent family friendly event that gives you close access to some of the best female professional golfers in the world and supports a great local charity - Center for Disability Services.
